We went to mood!! Sorry the video will probably give you motion sickness, i felt weird shooting a video in the middle of mood. We also saw the parson's school where project runway used to be filmed and the theater where wicked is!!

today tati and i walked/jogged around the central park trail.
6 MILES.
i am happy to be alive. and to tell you the truth it wasnt that bad. :)
yesterday we picnicked in the park! there was so many people out and about and a music festival was going on. top weekend.

steve buscemi gives good nod

Nana and Uncle Casey came to visit!!! yay!! We had such a good time. We went on one of those cool double decker buses and saw most of New York. Then, we went to Rockefeller Plaza and had a delicious lunch and people watched and then we saw Steve Buscemi! He just walked right by and noded. It went by so fast. It was soooo cool!! Thank you so much Nana and Uncle Casey for coming to visit me! I miss you both already!

On the bus tour, we saw so many buildings and places. Saks fifth ave, this cool building that looks like it belongs in Harry Potter, the Waldorf Astoria home of the waldorf salad (mmm!), the original Macys which was super tiny, the modern Macys, the empire state building, this building that was leaning and had to be held up, and a huge post office that never closes.

my first piece of mail!

Yay! My first snail mail letter!! Go Jack! Love you! I love getting mail y'all so send me a letter or postcard every once in a while.

I saw a rat and it wasnt in a tree.

Sacramento has rats that climb trees.

New York has mongo martian rats that are huge and run around in broad daylight.

Anywho. Here are some pics of Tati's school (which is gorgeous), St. John's Cathedral, and a really cool sculpture statue thing in Morningside Heights north of upper west side.

99 cents up or less

people in new york do not have dollar stores. they have stores called 99 cents up or less (in really tiny letters) or $1 more or down. so silly.

I will remember your face forever.

Tati touched a dead squirrel. And a crazy lady will remember her face forever.

So, there was this dying squirrel on the sidewalk and tati is the only one who has the balls to pick it up with newspaper and walk it over to central park and lay it to rest in some bushes. This Ukranian lady was like "You have a beautiful friend. I could not do what she did. I will remember your face forever." She was really nice but it was kinda creepy and really funny, especially b/c she had a crazy accent. So, tati saved the squirrel from being squashed and ranover. She is a hero, to that nice lady.

Here is a pic of the MET. I will go there someday. We also went to a yard sale at this rich lady's apartment and her view overlooked all of central park. It was amazing. oh, and these 'don't honk' signs do not stop people from not honking.

the subway is not my thing

the subway is a form of transportation that i think i will rarely ever use. although it is extremely conveneint it is dark and smelly and damp and really scary people ride and then you're trapped down there in your little car and its just very claustrophobic. plus, its $2.25 for a one way ride. so now i walk, a lot. but its all good. I get to see the city while im doing it.

i live on an island!!

Woo hoo!! Manhattan! On the cusp of Harlem.... dun dun dun, which isn't that bad. south sac is worse. :) Its actually quite nice. anywho here is the video tour of our awesome apt! I'll redo it once we get it all pimped out.

We live on the sixth flour right across from the north side of central park! We have a laundry room, a doorman and an elevator!

So far New York is awesome! The people are super nice and there is so much to see. I have never walked this much in my life! I will have buns of steel! hahaha

costco hot dogs are better

Yay! my first New York hot dog from a central park hot dog stand! costco ones are better, but thats okay b/c the new york ones are still really yummy. A lot of people told me not to eat them because there is a lot of bacteria in the hot dog carts but I didnt die so Im probably gonna keep eating them. oh yeah, they're cheap too!
